Favorite Styling Tools
We often get asked what our favorite styling tools are, and I would love to share with you what I use every day in the salon to achieve gorgeous styles!
When I got to Salon West, my boss, Kelsey, turned me on to Babyliss products, and I am so glad she did! I use their flat iron, mini flat iron, curling iron, and blow dryer! I will add links at the end of this post to each of these items, but first I want to explain why I love them so much.
My Babyliss 1″ flat iron gives me perfectly smooth and shiny hair with every use. Because the plates are metal (titanium), they heat up evenly all the way through – this ensures that there will be an even amount of heat distribution to straighten the hair perfectly from roots to ends! Or you can also use this iron to give yourself beach waves if that’s what you prefer 😉 This iron has many heat settings to choose from, so based on your hair needs, you can decide what temperature to use!
My Babyliss mini flat iron is perfect for my pixie cut clients! You can use it to both straighten and curl without the bulk of a regular sized flatiron. It’s hard to avoid burning your fingers with a regular size iron on hair that is 1.5 inches long, so this is perfect solution to minimize that threat.
My Babyliss 1″ and Bablyliss 1.25″ curling irons are my absolute favorite curling irons. I use the 1″ for my short and medium length haired clients, and I switch to my 1.25″ for my mermaid hair clients! With this iron I have been able to achieve formal curls, beach waves, red carpet waves, and even that wanded bouncy curl (Yes! You can use this spring action iron as a wand!). This iron also has many heat settings which is perfect for any type of hair.
My Babyliss blow dryer does a perfect job every time – it has 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings. I use the medium heat setting when “rough drying” the hair, and I crank it up to high when it’s time to round brush to really heat the hair and get a smooth finish.
